The Sun radiates 180 billion MW of energy over the earth. Just one hour of this energy could meet the power needs of the entire earth one year. Renewable energy is naturally available and free from pollution and without any running expenses. There is a huge gap between supply and demand exists in the power supply. Oil resources are mainly imported from foreign countries and moreover within a short span of time it will be depleted.
Solar hot water system is based on the principle of Black Body Absorption. The Black surface of the collector absorbs the heat energy from the sunrays and transfers it to the water passing through the copper tubes. Hot water being lighter raises to the insulated storage tank and equal amount of cold water replaces this hot water from the copper tubes.
By burning fire wood for water heating it is not only causing deforestation but also emitting carbon content and affects our environment. The alternate source of energy for this will be solar energy which is the ideal solution for water heating purpose & there is no saturation for solar energy.
Temperature from solar water heater can be increased to the maximum of 95 degree. Industries like Textile, Hotel, Rubber, and Dairy Industries are already in use of boiler for generating steam. The hot water can be used as a pre heated water for boiler. Conventional fuels like LPG, Diesel, Fire wood, etc. can be saved at 30% to 40% on their daily consumption.
